On Monday, The 14th over a hundred Rotarians and Friends gathered at St Theresia's church parish hall in Henniker to welcome four Australians from Rotary District 9690 (a 2500 square mile area just north of Sidney) who, as a Group Study Exchange Team, are being hosted by the Rotarians of our district. The Hopkinton, Henniker, Capital City and Concord Rotary Clubs sponsored the event which was attended by area clubs and Rotarians as far away as Gilford and Wells River, Vermont.

The Australian Team consists of: David Cook, Rotarian Team leader, retired from a long career in the insurance industry followed by a relatively short stint in college administration; Team member Amanda Frost, a teacher-librarian; Team member Robyn McKenzie, a High School History Teacher and sports coach; And the last Member of the Team, Teresia Wilson, who works with the Australian Customs as Strategy & Support Director, Airport Operations North. An impressive group with a great sense of humor.

The 9690 GSE Team have homestay visits scheduled in Bow, Laconia, Raymond New Hapshire and Woodstock, Rutland and West Dover Vermont - with a side trip to the District Conference held in Lacke Placid, New York. This entire trip has been planned by the District 7870 GSE Committee who should be commended for their excellent work.
