Philippines to host first project fair
The project fair, with the theme "Road Mapping for a Better Life," aims to provide a forum for Rotarians worldwide to meet face-to-face and discuss service projects in need of funding, volunteers, or donated goods. The fair will include a projects exhibition, roundtable discussions, guest speakers, and a cultural program.
The project fair aims to provide the forum for Rotarians to meet face-to-face and discuss projects that change lives but need funding, volunteers, or donated goods. These are projects that are in line with R I thrusts, the UN Millennium Development Goals, and are of priority concern to the Filipino people.
In true Rotary spirit, the fair is about developing long term friendships, growing more competent in shaping the future, and demonstrating collective accountability so that the world is a better home for generations to come.
The fair honors the countries, Rotary districts and clubs that have continually supported humanitarian and educational service projects in the 90 years of Rotary in the Philippines.
The International Service WCS Committee designed a vibrant program that will keep at high level the interaction of both the international and Philippine Rotarian participants and guests. As an added feature, we shall be presenting colorful cultural presentations of traditional Philippine songs and dances.
The 1st Project Fair Philippines 2009 is one good reason to keep smiling because we are one in embracing that the future of Rotary is in our hands!
